The Jeremy Fisher cabin is a 75-year-old trout hatchery building that was converted into a cozy cabin. Nestled in a ravine next to a mountain brook, this unique cabin is one of the easiest to reach and is accessed from a separate parking lot. With a fire pit just across the brook, sounds of the water rushing past in every season makes this one of our most interesting cabin options. Plus, its insulation keeps it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The location is ideal for spotting forest animals and the VeloVolants flying overhead.

Details and amenities

  • Accommodating up to eight people (two double beds, bunkbed style) downstairs, two double beds on mezzanine, and pillows for eight).
  • Outside Amenities : Picnic table, fire pit with stainless-steel grill, and an outhouse.
  • Location/distance : 400 m from showers/toilets and reception.
  • Located 150 m from parking.

  • Access to the central shower building, with toilets, showers and sauna (sauna open during winter season only).
  • Cooking facilities : Wood stove for cooking from October to April (bring your own propane stove to cook outside from May to September as it’s too hot for the wood stove).
  • Lighting : In the cabin, you will find LED lights, powered by a battery pack distributed at the reception upon check-in. Please note that no other devices can be connected to this battery pack.
  • Table and chairs for 2, 4, 6, or 8; counter/cupboard unit; picnic table; fire pit with a stainless steel grill; and an outhouse.

  • Sleeping bags (a winter sleeping bag is not required and sleeping bags are also available for rent – please reserve)
  • Pillowcases

  • Cooler and plastic boxes for your food (mice are attracted to the inside of cabins especially in the fall and winter)

For your convenience we have kitchen boxes for rent equipped with the basics (Pots, pan, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, cutlery, cutting board, kitchen knives, cooking spoon, spatula, can opener, bottle opener and corkscrew, plastic sink, dish cloth, dish soap and tea towels)

Firewood or eco-logs are required to heat all cabins. While wood and kindling is pre-delivered to cabins (in the winter season), it is NOT included in the price of cabins. You can estimate between $5 and $15 per day depending on cabin size, outside temperature and how much of your stay is spent inside. You are welcome to bring your own eco-logs, but NOT firewood as there is a strict government ban on the transport of wood to and from our region.
